By Sue Berry

plenty of imagesFacebook is the biggest social networking site around and millions upon millions of people use it daily. This means there is a good opportunity for networking. However, when it comes to social media marketing and Facebook, there are a few tips you should keep in mind. Some of these tips will be discussed below.

1. Use A Good Photo – When you use Facebook for social media marketing purposes, then using a good photo is a must. This is regardless if you are going to be using a personal profile, business page or even a group page on Facebook. Make sure the photo is of high quality and represents you and/or your network marketing business. A good professional looking photo can help you get attention on Facebook and it can help you grow your network of fans, friends and acquaintances on the social networking site.

2. Don’t Just Post Any Old Thing – When using Facebook for your social media marketing purposes, it means that you don’t want to post just any old thing. You should be posting content that is relevant to the audience you are trying to target. For example, if you are trying to network with people in the health and fitness niche, then you will want to post content that relates to that niche, and this is even the case when you use your personal Facebook profile. The more relevant content you post on Facebook, the more people will take notice, which means you could end up growing your network by quite a lot.

3. Join Relevant Groups – There are many different types of groups on Facebook and many of them welcome new members with open-arms, while many groups allow anybody to join. You need to decide what type of people you want to network with, and then find groups that cater to those people, and be active in those groups. When people start replying to your comments or you notice people interacting regularly in the group, then send them a friend request. The more you do this, the more your network will grow, and the more friend requests you will get, and if you have a fan page, then more and more people could end up becoming a fan of media

4. Interact With Others – If you want to use Facebook to its full advantage, then make sure you like other people’s content, become a fan of business’s and fan pages and leave comments. If you do all of these things, then your own network will start to grow over a period of time. Just put aside an hour a day or even just 20 minutes per day and interact with others. Doing this will increase interaction on your own content, so make sure you do this.
